Thanks Elizabeth. I'll share my insights on soul songs once I've completed mine. I wrote about the message I was given by the Birch Mother to start working with souls songs on an earlier post this summer about the Utiseta in Sussex. I want to run a workshop on this too so watch this space. But the first step would be to work on the words for a first verse. How might you do that? Through a rune casting, a medicine walk, a drum session, whatever way you connect with your inner soul. Its a deep listening process I think.
I’ve only just seen your reply. Yes, I have earmarked your Birch Mother post in my emails!. I will take this as I walk into Death Valley and see what emerges.I like the idea of only focusing on what the first verse are, maybe even the first line.X
What a great reading.
Thank you for sharing and offering up such rich inspiration and reflection.
How would you suggest we can get to know our soul song better?
